It took a year to read the Bible, then almost 9 months to read the Apocrypha. Now, I'm going to try to offer reflections on the Narrative Lectionary. But, I won't be posting daily--at least, for a while.

Conflict and Gossip, a Reflection on James 3:1-12

James asked, What is the conflict among you? If he were writing to Americans right now, we could say that it is this political season that has exposed quite a bit of conflict. Here's a suggestion of how we could be more Jamesian in this season (by Ginger on her blog RambleRamble):

Gossip is bad, and so is cover-up. 

When you are aware of bad things happening in the congregation, what is your responsibility? Please note that I'm not talking about the many times that we don't agree with someone or the times when we don't get our way.
