O merciful God, in compassion for your sinful children

Grant us grace to feel and to lament our sins.
Help us to change our lives so that we can be the people you intended us to be
and to do for the world what you want done.
Give us a true longing to be free from sin,
through the deliverance won by Jesus Christ, our Redeemer. Amen.
